Each one starts as a lump of clay on the wheel, then is made into a cylinder. The spout is created by carefully curving a part of the rim into a dipped spout that pours correctly.

The handle is made out of a strip of clay, the sides smoothed, then attached to the pourer.

Each pot is dried slowly, then fired in an electric kiln to a porous stage. Then the pot is dipped in a liquid glaze and fired again in a kiln. The finished product is a glaze watertight ceramic pot.
