Moss Espresso Cup

Each espresso cup begins as a cylinder, then is made into a small cylinder. The edges of a mall strip of clay are smoothed, the strip is shaped into a circle and attached to the small cup.
The cup is dried slowly, then fired in an electric kiln to a porous stage. Then the pot is dipped in a liquid glaze. Moss has a layered glaze, two different glazes that create a unique finish when combined and fired again in a kiln. The finished product is a glaze watertight ceramic pot.
