about

My journey with ceramics began when I discovered clay in college. I quickly changed my major from Graphic Design to 3D Studio-Ceramics and never looked back. After completing my MFA in Ceramics from Georgia Southern University, I took part in an artists's residency with the Hambidge Center for the Arts in Georgia. The following years I spent working and making ceramics at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia where I took part in the Work Exchange Program as well as becoming a staff member in the gallery & shop. My next chapter took me to NYC where I spent several years working with high-touch finishes at Apparatus Studio, a lighting and design studio while making my ceramics out of my Gowanus studio. Following the pandemic, I moved back to Statesboro, Georgia with my husband and our two cats. We’ve been back in Georgia for three years and welcomed our first son.

I currently teach workshops/classes and have my own studio at the Roxie Remley Center for Fine Arts. I make pots for everyday use as well as sculptural works. I’m interested in the daily ritual our connection with these handmade objects creates. I’ve spent over thirteen years honing my skills and craft in clay and look forward to the next decades exploring clay further.
